In 2016 FNQ Rescues R Us – a Not for Profit Organization – was founded after the unexpected death of our founders’ son Damien. The founder started the rescue as a tribute to her son, as his passion was to save abandoned, mistreated and homeless puppies and dogs. Our team of volunteers and our wonderful family of foster carers work tirelessly to nurture all the animals in our care. We also work closely with a team of dedicated professionals who help to provide medical assistance and training to our rescue dogs and puppies on an as-needs basis.

Our primary mission at FNQ Rescues R Us is to help save puppies and dogs that may have been neglected, malnourished or abused. We are a 100% foster-based rescue (ie: none of our dogs are in shelters – all are in nurturing home environments prior to adoption) and our valued foster care network share our passion to find and help these puppies and dogs. We aim to provide loving, nurturing and safe foster homes to rehabilitate these puppies and dogs, with the goal of rehoming them into loving “fur-ever” homes, so they can live out happy lives being cherished members of the family.

FNQ Rescues R Us are based in Cairns, Far North Queensland, Australia, however we service a wide area from Mackay in the South to the Torres Straits in the North. The team at FNQ Rescues R Us work collaboratively with remote animal rescue groups as well as regional vets to provide assistance and support where it is most needed.
